FACE was delighted to be part of this year’s Filton community festival, where the charity enjoyed a wonderful day connecting with local families and supporters.
Its popular tombola stall attracted plenty of visitors throughout the day, with many people trying their luck while helping to raise valuable funds for its work. The charity says that it is incredibly grateful to everyone who donated prizes, took part, and supported us.
The dedicated youth work team also created a welcoming space for young people and their families to enjoy a variety of free activities, including Jenga, giant Tetris and table football alongside craft activities.
It was fantastic to see so many children and young people having fun. FACE was delighted to be visited by its patron, MP Claire Hazelgrove, who took the time to say hello to the team and chat with the residents and show her continued support for the charity’s work.
Her visit was greatly appreciated and highlighted the importance of community organisations working together to support local people.
The festival was a fantastic opportunity to meet the residents and highlight all the activities that FACE offer during the week for everyone in the community.
The charity would like to thank you to everyone who visited its stall, joined in activities, and helped make the day such a memorable occasion. Special thanks go to ASDA (Filton Retail Park), Salvation Army (Gloucester Road North), Palomo Lounge and FACE members for their generous donations.
