Filton Festival 2026 will return to Elm Park on Sunday, July 5 for a day of community celebration, marking the 25th anniversary of the annual event.

This year’s theme is ‘Up, Up and Away’, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first commercial flight of the Concorde and Filton’s proud aviation heritage.

As part of the celebrations, festival organisers, Deryncoch, have planned a jet set world record attempt. They are aiming to set the record for the most people pretending to be an aeroplane at the same time, but they need the community’s help. Residents and visitors are being encouraged to take part to secure the record.

A spokesperson for Deryncoch said: “Join us for a day of excitement, community spirit, and sky-high fun. Whether you’re a local resident or visiting for the day, Filton Festival 2026 promises something for everyone.”

Activities will hit the ground running from 11am- 6pm, where visitors can expect airborne inspired displays, interactive activities and plenty of high-flying fun throughout the day. Visitors can expect a packed schedule of themed performances, children’s workshops and food stalls.

Town clerk, Simon Davies said: “We are looking forward to the new look festival – it’s the 25th anniversary and 50th celebration of the first commercial flight by Concorde.

“The festival has changed massively over the last couple of years, where last year we had our biggest festival yet! We held a tendering exercise late last year, which attracted high quality and innovative tenders, so we had a hard choice.

“Deryncoch is going to deliver a fantastic festival, which everyone is welcome to attend.”

More updates, line-ups and announcements are expected over the coming months.

Anyone interested in holding a stall at the event can fill out a registration form on the official Filton Festival website.
