Window trail returns to light up streets

Homes and businesses across Filton will again be aglow with creativity, as the annual Wonderful Window Arts Trail returns to its streets next month.

This year’s event will run from November 20-23, 5.30- 8.30pm, with refreshment stops on the trail to raise funds for the North Birstol and South Glos Foodbank.

The trail is free and organised by a volunteer team of local artistic residents, supported through kind donations and sponsorship from local businesses and facilitated by staff – donating much of their time – at FACE.

Residents and business owners are encouraged to register as soon as they can if they would like to decorate their windows.

Windows registered before the end of October will appear in the printed trail maps. There will once again be a live online map for the trail.

Workshops will also be held in October and November for people who need help with their designs. For residents who don’t have a suitable window, but would like to make a display for an elderly person or business to put in their window, they can get in touch with FACE.

FACE is also looking for sponsors for the trail. The more sponsorship it receives to support the costs of the materials, workshops, and printing, the more donations can be raised for the foodbank.
