Police were called to the Tesco Esso Express garage in Gloucester Road North at the end of January after a Fiat 500 ram raided the shop.
Officers are currently investigating the incident, which happened at around 10.40pm on January 24, and involved the small city car reversing into the store. There were three suspects involved in the incident.
Two unknown suspects got out of the vehicle, leaving a third in the car.
The suspects proceeded to steal money from the tills.
They also attempted to steal tobacco but were unsuccessful. They got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.
A man in his forties has been arrested in connection with this incident on suspicion of burglary, but has been released on conditional bail.
