A new milestone is being marked in the development of Brabazon as students prepare to move into its new accommodation in September.
The purpose-built student accommodation, known as The Propeller Quarter, is now complete and will be welcoming its first residents at the start of this academic year.
The accommodation combines high-quality rooms with amenities including study areas, social spaces, fitness facilities and all inclusive bills. Further leisure facilities — including padel courts, pickleball, a sauna, golf pods and social games — are also due to open at Brabazon this autumn, alongside a growing mix of cafés, green spaces and the Spitfire Hangar community hub.
Transport links are also progressing, with train drivers already in training ahead of the new Bristol Brabazon railway station, which is set to open later this year. Students will also be able to use frequent Metrobus services connecting Brabazon to Bristol city centre.
Brabazon new town is being delivered by YTL Developments. CEO Baldip Singh, said: “The arrival of students at The Propeller Quarter is another important milestone in the creation of Brabazon new town. “Students bring energy, creativity and diversity, helping to create the vibrant neighbourhoods that make great places thrive.

The accommodation, built by YTL Construction UK, is positioned for students attending UWE Bristol, the University of Bristol, the University of Law, BIMM Music Institute, SGS WISE Campus, University Centre Weston and The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
UWE’s Frenchay Campus is located just 15 minutes away.
Developers say the arrival of the first residents will bring new energy to the growing new town, helping to establish a diverse community from day one.
